Transactional Analysis

Transactional Analysis was developed by psychiatrist Eric Berne M.D.  TA is both a theory of  personality  and human interaction. It helps you understand yourself and why you do the things that you do over and over again. Dr. Berne developed easy to use concepts for people to understand their life scripts and limiting decisions that may keep them from their full human potential.  It teaches how people can be in charge of their own script and change it.  TA  provides a framework and gives you tools for you to make changes to  have control over your life.

It is used in a variety counseling, educational and organizational settings around the world. For more information  www.itta-net.org

Sandtray-WorldplayR

Sandtray-WorldplayR is an expressive therapy used with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups.   Miniature objects, images and toys are placed in a container of sand and become a conscious expression for the psyche. This enhances self-healing, self-expression, individuation, the capacity to be in relationship and to create shared vision and community with others.

The skilled facilitator helps the builders to experience and understand the meaning of the world they have built. These methods are used in therapeutic, educational, family, religious and corporate settings. Sandtray-WorldplayR  was developed by Gisela Schubach De Domenico, Ph.D.  Ms Neel has been trained by her  to use this method of sandtray therapy.

 EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapy used to overcome the effects of traumatic experiences. Psychologist Francine Shapiro developed this method of rapid eye movement.

EMDR combines  a variety of therapeutic methods—psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral, etc. with eye movements. It involves recalling a stressful past event and “reprogramming” the memory and then installing  a new positive, self-chosen belief.

It is used not only with single-incident trauma, but has expanded to effectively treat other conditions and unresolved issues that may keep people stuck in limiting behaviors.  For more information www.emdr.com
